RUNNING MACHINE REPAIR

Job Information:

I had a client, Michael Vincent, reach out to me to inquire about repairing his running machine. He mentioned that it was working, but there was a constant squeak while it was running. He also requested that I service all of his other equipment while I’m there.

Initial Inspection:

When I arrived, I first inspected all the equipment and decided to service the other machines first, as they only required an annual service in line with the manufacturer’s requirements. I knew the running machine might take longer because I would need to find the fault before I could fix the problem.

Service and Repair Process:

I serviced all the other equipment in his home gym (rower, cross trainer), which went smoothly without any issues. Then I moved on to the running machine. Upon removing all the covers, I noticed that the running deck was loose and the belt had shifted off the rollers, causing the friction and squeaking sound the customer described. I made the necessary adjustments to the deck and realigned the belt this rectified the problem.

Final Result:

All the machines were now serviced and running smoothly. I booked Michael in for the next service to stay on top of the maintenance and prevent any issues from happening again.
